Overview
Freelance role with the opportunity to earn a percentage of business sales. Primary focus is to explore and secure commercialization opportunities for SCALE UP, including podcast/newsletter sponsorships, marketing/branding collaborations, new revenue-generating partnerships, and HR/talent consulting. You’ll work closely with the founder in a fun, flexible, fully remote environment, with partner-level compensation.

About the RoleThis is a freelance role with the opportunity to earn a percentage of business sales. Your primary focus will be to explore and secure commercialization opportunities for SCALE UP, including:
- Podcast/newsletter sponsorships
- Marketing/branding collaborations
- New revenue-generating partnerships
- HR/Talent consulting
You’ll work closely with the founder in a fun, flexible, fully remote environment , shaping the business while being part of a partner-level compensation model.
Responsibilities- Identify and secure sponsorships and partnerships for podcasts and newsletters
- Develop marketing and branding collaborations that generate revenue
- Pursue new revenue-generating partnerships aligned with SCALE UP’s goals
- Provide HR/talent consulting services where applicable
- Is passionate about content, talent, and scaling startups — you naturally think about how ideas, content, and people intersect to create impact
- Has experience commercializing content-based businesses — understands sponsorships, partnerships, and generating revenue from thought leadership
- Multilingual skills are a plus (Japanese, Chinese, or other languages) — not required; ability to navigate diverse markets and cultures is more important
- Has an entrepreneurial, creative, and collaborative mindset — can generate ideas, build relationships, and execute opportunities independently while working with the founder
- Is a self-starter who thrives in a flexible environment — comfortable working remotely, managing your own schedule, and delivering results
- Enjoys connecting with people and building partnerships — loves networking, pitching, and negotiating win-win collaborations
- Is excited by early-stage ventures — motivated to shape a business from the ground up
