Position Overview

Its ultimate aim is to improve the Singapore population's health and health administrations by integrating intelligent, highly resilient, and cost effective technologies with process and people.
We're looking for a highly-driven and motivated Data Engineers for our Health Insights team in Singapore. In this role, you will be using the big data in the public healthcare, to analyse, design and develop BI solutions that provide strategic insights to improve decision-making in Singapore healthcare system. You will then implement & deploy your solutions, and work with the team to maintain and support these complex data platforms.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Work closely with project managers and business analysts to strategically drive project demands and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Champion of Best Practices
  • Establish and enforce standards for data engineering practices, including development, testing, and implementation
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Deliver engaging presentations that resonate with technical architects, directors, business users, and data owners alike
  • Translate intricate data insights into understandable language to foster collaboration and drive informed decision-making across the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology/ System or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with a strong track record of managing projects and leading teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in data warehousing, data analytics, lakehouse architecture, and AWS technologies
  • Proficiency and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Informatica IDMC experience
    • Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, OBIEE
    • Working knowledge on BI standard languages such as R, Python, SQL, Apache Spark
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate or higher
    • Databricks and IDMC certification will be advantageous
