Pega Developer | Contract

Roles & Responsibilities Job Scope: Investigate, analyze, and resolve production issues and defects within Pega applications to ensure system stability, performance, and adherence to SLAs. Troubleshoot and fix integration issues involving internal systems and external partner interfaces, ensuring smooth end-to-end data exchange and system interoperability. Develop and implement system enhancements, change requests, and configuration updates in alignment with evolving business needs and priorities. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand requirements, analyze root causes, and deliver effective and sustainable solutions. Perform impact analysis, code updates, and thorough unit testing to ensure high-quality delivery and minimize production risk. Participate in regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate production readiness and ensure that implemented changes meet business and technical expectations. Design and enhance Pega application components, including class structures, data models, business rules, and workflows, to support continuous improvement. Support integration with databases, legacy systems, and web services while adhering to established architecture and security guidelines. Conduct peer code reviews and ensure compliance with Pega best practices, coding standards, and maintainability guidelines. Collaborate closely with other developers, product owners, and support teams to effectively manage incidents, service requests, and planned releases. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for fixes, enhancements, and deployments to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing. Participate in post-deployment reviews to identify improvement opportunities and preventive measures for recurring issues. Continuously enhance technical expertise on the Pega platform and stay current with emerging features and tools to drive operational excellence and scalability. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Pega application development and support. Good experience in Pega 8.x platform / Infinity version with solid understanding of application maintenance, defect resolution, and system enhancement delivery. Proven expertise in Pega rules components, including Case Management, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors, ServiceRest, ConnectRest, DX API, UI, Activities and Flows, Declaratives, Decision, Validation, Reports, and Correspondences. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues with internal systems and external partners. Skilled in log analysis, issue triaging, and performance tuning to support stable and optimized operations. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as Clipboard, Tracer, PLA, Alerts, and AES for issue investigation and resolution. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities with a good sense of accountability and ownership. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in iterative delivery environments. Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) required; Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) preferable.
