Locum Nurse role at Institute of Mental Health (IMH). Duration: 3 months. Specialist Outpatient Clinic/ ECT.
Job Description
Working in a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible to provide quality nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to meet the needs of the patients. You will also be responsible for maintaining standards for professional nursing practice and working cooperatively with other members of the healthcare team to provide integrated care.
Job Responsibilities
Assesses, triages walk-in patients, and identifies vulnerable individuals and patients with high-risk conditions to ensure prompt attention.
Administers medication, performs treatments and carries out other medical orders according to hospital policy.
Assists with admission procedures and carries out treatment as required.
Reports pertinent observations and reactions of SOC patients to clinicians and records them accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills in nursing procedures such as venipuncture, ECG, and oral/nasopharyngeal swabbing during pandemic situations or when required.
Provides health teaching to patients and their families as appropriate.
Collaborates with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the management of patients.
Participates in neurostimulation treatment for patients.
Requirements
Competency: Passion to work in the community; good interpersonal, communication, writing & IT skills; familiar with healthcare environment; able to work independently with good decision-making skills.
Educational And Professional Requirements
Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
