The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a leading institution for Sustainable Built Environment. Our key objective is to advance research innovations and provide professional services.

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team and work on a newly awarded project focused on spatial concurrence risk analysis of precipitation using a network-based approach. The position is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research, preparing project reports, assisting with grant proposals, and engaging in collaborative research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in data analysis, methodology development, and applications
  • Coordinate the preparation of project reports and deliverables
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
  • Collaborate with other researchers on project discussions and joint deliverables
  • Support the preparation of research proposals and grant applications

Job Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Water Resources Engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, ArcGIS, network theory, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal skill with ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
  • Working experience is not strictly required but some post-doc experience will be a plus
