At IRAS, we provide you with the space and opportunity to apply your tax knowledge and resourcefulness in a diverse range of tax administration fields, from compliance and policy formulation to taxpayer services. You will have the opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of tax administration. What you will be working on: As part of our team, you'll be involved in the following key areas: Conduct audits on high-risk taxpayers to determine their compliance with GST rules and regulations; prepare audit findings and recommend actions to be taken. Draft GST rulings on the interpretation of tax laws and the rationale behind tax policies. Reviews tax rules to achieve tax objectives and ensure clarity, by researching international tax practices and engaging the industry. Be involved in data analytics projects to detect non-compliance and identify high-risk taxpayers. You will have the opportunity to contribute to continual improvement and enhancements in our work processes, by providing feedback and innovative ideas to improve taxpayers' compliance and streamline operations. In addition, you may also participate in ad hoc projects, applying your knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA & data analytics) or methodologies (e.g. behavioural insights & design) to further enhance compliance and processes. What we are looking for: We are looking for candidates who possess the following: A degree in Accounting, Law or Business. Basic knowledge of accounting and GST. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Logical and systematic approach to handling and analysing information and data. Resourcefulness and ability to work independently.
