About the Role

This position will be held at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Areas of focus include:

  • Emerging AI Edge and Machine Learning Circuits and Systems
  • Ultra-Low Power High Speed Circuits for Satellites and Autonomous Vehicles
  • Beyond 5G Circuits and SiP/SoC
  • IoT Sensor and Flexible Electronics Circuits and Systems
  • Hardware and Physical-Cybersecurity Circuits and Systems
  • Quantum Circuits and Systems
  • System Integration and IC/Package co-design
Responsibilities Research Excellence

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Secure external research funding and develop a top-notch research program.
  • Disseminate new research findings in peer-reviewed journals and premier conferences.
  • Drive industry-relevant innovation and applications through research.
Teaching and Mentoring

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Integrated Circuits and systems.
  • Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and refresh for IC design.
Service and Professionalism

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Enhance research collaboration between EEE and industry partners.
  • Engage in school, university, and professional service activities.
  • Contribute to the academic community through participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Requirements

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • A current appointment as a tenured professor at a leading international university.
  • A distinguished record of research and innovation in integrated circuits and systems.
  • Leadership in the professional community, as evidenced by conference organization, invited seminars, and professional service.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
  • A strong commitment to academic service and leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
