Job Title: Marine Technical Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technical Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in marine operations, technical management, and administration. As a Marine Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management and technical operations of the marine fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the preparation, review and management of all technical documentation, vessel certificates, maintenance records, compliance records etc.
  • To provide administrative support and coordination for any vessel inspections, repairs and docking works.
  • To liaise with customers on technical and operational matters including vessel performance etc.
  • To attend to vessel docking, repairs and surveys when required and supervise contractors' repair/maintenance works on board the vessel.
  • To monitor the technical status of vessels in terms of Class certificates and surveys and ensure that all statutory certificates, equipment certificates etc are properly maintained, documented and up to date.
  • To identify and source technical and operational supplies required for the vessels' needs and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
  • To monitor and control vessels' consumables to prevent unnecessary wastage.
  • To keep track of vessels LSA, FFA, cargo hoses registry, lifting gears registry and PPE of all shipboard personnel.
  • To work closely with the HES team to ensure smooth implementation and compliance of company safety and quality standards.
  • To assist in investigating any defects/failures occurred and reporting all vessels incidents/near misses to prevent and eliminate any potential incidents.
  • To maintain crew records inclusive of certificates, training, medical checks and coordinating in crew changes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant working experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class 3 Driving License.
