Singapore Jurong Port Pte Ltd Full time

Jurong Port's multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port's local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

The Job

Commercial:

  • Support commercial aspects of Lighterage and Regional Trade operations. This covers the Lighter Terminals and Other Bulk Cargoes.
  • Monitor commercial management with focus on business unit budgets.
  • Support strategic development in related business units.
  • Develop and manage engagements with related business port users and prospects.
  • Co-ordinate with operation business units to improve operational efficiency.

Projects:

  • Execution of projects at the Lighter Terminals and allocated projects in the Lighterage and Regional Trade Division.
  • Collaborate with Organisation Digitalisation and Transformation Team on optimisation projects.
  • Manage set project timelines, milestones, budget and monitor that projects are kept on track.
  • Monitor project deliverables and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on project progress.
  • Support project team members, assigning tasks and ensuring effective task completion.
  • Schedule tasks and coordinate with various team members to accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes as needed, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
  • Resolve conflicts among different stakeholders and assist in conflict resolution to ensure project success.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other administrative duties and handle ad-hoc tasks as instructed by Division HOD.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • Understanding of stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and solution design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proactive with strong problem-solving skills; able to propose and implement improvement ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to engage effectively with diverse cultures.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven; able to deliver results under challenging conditions.
  • Ability to lead and secure stakeholder buy-in for proposed solutions and processes.
