Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Day to day running of all matters related to the construction of the project eg. planning of works for the site team and sub-contractors.
  • Prepare Project Quality Plan for the Directors to review and if required any method statements for the site staff and sub contractors to execute.
  • Assign job responsibilities and specific areas to the site team.
  • Review the project budget & expenses on a quarterly basis with GM-Contracts / Senior Contracts Mgr / Contracts Mgr and to highlight any issue to the Directors/GM and General Manager - Projects for attention and to address.
  • Conduct site meeting with site personnel and sub contractors to review works' progress and resolve conflicts among the various sub-contractors.
  • Attend site WSH meetings with WSH Officer and review follow-up actions, to ensure site environment and workplace is safe and project works implemented in safe manner.
  • Assist Senior Contracts Mgr / Contracts Mgr in appointing vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors and evaluate jointly with Senior Contracts Mgr / Contracts Manager and Project Directors for approval.
  • Work with site personnel and assist the Site Quantity Surveyor team on all variation claims.
  • Responsible for monthly progress report in the format required by the consultants.
  • Put up recommendation to the designated Project Directors on the additional requirement of plants, equipment or workforce for the execution of the works.
  • To resolve if any conflicts within the site team and take care of the welfare of the site team. Project Director will assist when called for.
  • Attend all consultant site meetings, technical meetings and sub-contractor meetings.

Requirements

  • Possess bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction related degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in completed condominium or large projects as Project Manager
  • Excelent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
