Roles & Responsibilities Reports to: Project Designer or Team Lead, as assigned. Description: Responsible for supporting the creation and development of the interior design, including execution of presentation work for the schematic design or design development phases of a project, and production of final specifications and drawings. Duties and responsibilities: Create rendered 3D models in SketchUp. Assist with preparing digital presentations for clients using InDesign, Photoshop, etc. Performs drafting tasks including preparation of CAD plans, drawings and interior construction documents, picking up re dline comments, etc., under supervision by the intermediate or senior designer. Assists in specification coordination and specification writing. Constructs finish boards for presentation. Assists design team as necessary in selecting materials and finishes. Researches materials and products, including liaising with suppliers and scheduling vendor presentations. Maintains FF&E library. Performs other tasks for the design team as needed. Knowledge Expectations: Understanding of working drawing format. Exposure to interior design sources and materials and understanding of the basics of their use. Strong computer aptitude to include thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other design related software. Knowledge of Enscape is a plus but not mandatory.
