Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer – Senior/Principal – Tuas Act as SME for site Instrumentation, Calibration & Control Systems and point of contact for all system machines and design-related queries. Responsible for the development of the URS, Engineering Technical Specification, and Maintenance/Calibration Procedure for E&I equipment and systems. Scope includes development of SOP, maintenance, and spare parts programs in preparation for operation. Participate in intra‐disciplinary and interdisciplinary design reviews, technical alignments and bid tabulation for tender packages, support/lead the Operation Readiness of the E&I systems transiting from project to operation phase. The role will be transferred to the operational team upon project completion. Other ad hoc tasks as required by the department and company. Project Phase Instrumentation – Specifying instrumentation systems, selecting devices, reviewing datasheets, collaborating with other disciplines, reviewing vendor proposals, technical evaluation, troubleshooting during installation, commissioning, startup. Calibration – Developing calibration procedures and guidelines, maintaining a calibration program, analyzing data, documenting results, coordinating with maintenance and operations. Electrical Standards – Familiarizing with applicable electrical codes, ensuring compliance, developing design criteria, reviewing load calculations, short‐circuit analysis, vendor drawings, participating in site inspections and commissioning. Operation Phase System operation, maintenance & calibration – Routine examination, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, record keeping. Process control and monitoring instrument calibration – checking and recording equipment calibrations. Evaluate current systems and suggest enhancements. Troubleshoot equipment failures, instrument inaccuracies, control system faults. Maintain accurate documentation of electrical and instrumentation systems. Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, safety standards. Coordinate efforts with other disciplines, operational teams, contractors, suppliers. Accountable for relevant EHS audits, energy management and conservation initiatives. Train and support operations workers. Requirements Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical & electronics engineering or related field, recognized by the Singapore Professional Engineering Board. Minimum of 5 years in Engineering & Maintenance experience, specifically in E&I with Calibration Management, preferably in the GMP environment. Proficient electrical system maintenance knowledge and regulatory standards. Experience working on BMS, EMS & PLC Control Systems. Capable of drafting OOS deviation and experience handling auditors. Project experience on greenfield startup. Experience with Singapore Energy Audit Requirement. Preferably with SCEM and LEW Level 8 certification. Familiarity with CMMS systems like Maximo or SAP. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and planning tools such as Microsoft Project. Ability to use AutoCAD for drafting. Other Special Requirements Strong writing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills and independent problem solving.
