Job Overview

We are seeking a senior communications professional to lead our regional communications strategy across Asia Pacific, aligning with global priorities while tailoring to local market needs. The role will be responsible for managing regional agencies, developing and executing PR plans for major launches and announcements, building and maintaining high-impact media relationships, planning and executing strategic senior executive visits, growing the thought leadership program, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, policy, and customer success teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional communications strategy across APAC, aligning with global priorities while tailoring to local market needs.
  • Manage regional agencies across multiple markets, ensuring consistent messaging, strong execution, and measurable results.
  • Develop and execute PR plans for major launches, announcements, and milestones across B2C, business, government, and education sectors.
  • Build and maintain high-impact media relationships with business, tech, policy, education, and consumer outlets across Asia Pacific.
  • Plan and execute strategic senior executive visits across APAC, including media tours, customer engagements, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Grow the thought leadership program by driving keynotes, data reports, speaking opportunities, and opinion articles in priority markets.
  • Coach and prepare senior executives for media interviews, events, and customer engagements with tailored briefing books and messaging guidance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working in relevant communications roles, preferably in-house or at a PR agency.
  • Ability to manage senior executives, engage in strategic planning, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong media relations skills and demonstrated history of using data and insights to power thought leadership and media conversations.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with a track record in using data and insights to power strategic storytelling.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with cross-functional coordination and agency management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in education, edtech, or B2C late-stage startups or public technology companies.
  • Experience working on both sides - at a PR agency and in-house.
  • Experience working with large public technology companies with a globally distributed workforce.
  • Experience working with senior leadership on keynotes and thought leadership pieces.
  • Experience working across multiple countries in Asia Pacific.
