What the role is EXECUTIVE ENGINEER / ENGINEER, RAIL DIGITALISATION What you will be working on The Rail Digitalisation Division is a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary division set up to drive and deliver an LTA native platform "OLIVE", which encompasses the data and engineering analytics capabilities for the rail performance. Data is presented and stored in different locations and formats, and OLIVE serves to be the common data platform that will allow seamless and consistent readings, and therefore gain further insights and trending to aid rail maintenance and performance efforts. These would translate to better cost efficiency, improved performance and commuters experience with less disruptions. What we are looking for We are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our team for data-driven and web application development projects. Candidates with the following qualifications and skill sets are encouraged to apply: Background knowledge in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Analytics-related fields is preferred. Candidates with Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering degrees are welcome, especially if they possess experience or knowledge in coding and analytics. Technical Skills: Familiar and enthusiastic about data-related projects, with skills in tools and languages such as PowerBI, Tableau, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks and tools like TypeScript, JavaScript, and Element Plus. Proficient in backend development using Java and Spring Boot. Experienced with database technologies like MySQL and Redis. Knowledge of cloud storage and data management platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly advantageous. Familiarity with project tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence is a plus. Key Attributes: Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality work with a positive attitude. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
