Its major task is to secure plastic parts from external manufacturers to fulfill LEGO's unique quality value. The main working platform is external suppliers' platform. To ensure energy and cooperative success through simplicity, coherence, and collaboration; to keep decreasing customer claims via more effective and efficient quality functions in Development Quality, Supplier Quality Management, and Outgoing Quality Control. To escalate, prevent and detect quality risk before elements move to our customers and consumers. To solve multiple quality issues by professional and systematic problem-solving approaches. End orientation to our stakeholders and VIP customer service. To satisfy our customer always linked to our performance management via continuous improvement. Our team slogan is "Make-Buy same quality." This position aims to identify product quality risk and eliminate it during the novelty stage. The main challenge for this position is to have strong expertise in quality development and product knowledge and a strong quality mindset to ensure product compliance with our quality requirements in development stage. Core Responsibilities Evaluate product structure and design to meet safety and functional requirements throughout the entire development process Review the current process to ensure continuous improvement and drive cross‐functional projects to optimize process Drive significant incidents to ensure root causes are identified and countermeasures implemented with proper problem‐solving tools Initiate Q‐Test plans for high‐complexity elements to ensure risks are identified with DFM during production Define the test method in development stage and ensure suppliers conduct the tests accordingly Conduct production pilots at vendors' plants, evaluate and qualify manufacturing processes Take ownership of learning and developing professionally by proactively and continuously improving the area of responsibility, transforming knowledge into tangible results Support supplier quality management, such as supplier quality audits and customer claim handling Identify visual quality according to LEGO Error definition and VQG guidelines Each employee has the responsibility to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for themselves and others Role authority: Approve/Reject development testing methodology; escalate quality risk in development to management; approve/reject novelty PP quality to move to mass production; declare critical equipment performance results to decide if equipment can be used in mass production Verify and validate development performance according to the development agreement Contribute risk findings to the project team using professional quality tools (CTQs, FMEA, SPC, CPK, PPAP)Follow up development weak points or challenges that may impact mass production stability Provide quality input for novelty development in earlier stages Align PS tests with PS team and supplier team Do you have what it takes?Proven working experience in quality development or design engineering in plastic/injection moulding industry with relevant education background preferred Strong quality mindset to ensure never compromising quality Expertise in plastic material, molding or related processes; experience in the toy industry and knowledge of international toy safety standards (ASTM, EN71, ISO 8124) is advantageous Knowledge in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA Supplier quality development and management experience in Thailand is preferred Project management skills and good oral and written communication Data analysis skills are requested for performance analysis and risk indication Proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role requires communication with Mandarin‐speaking stakeholders and suppliers Decision-Making Assess the stability of quality in the development design Verify the reliability of the supplier testing method TQs close decision Accept/Reject for PPAP What's in it for you?Here is what you can expect: Family Care Leave – Enhanced paid leave options Insurances – Life and disability insurance coverage Wellbeing – Resources and benefits to nurture physical and mental wellbeing, with opportunities to build community and inspire creativity Colleague Discount – Generous colleague discount from day 1Bonus – Eligible employees may participate in a bonus scheme Workplace – Hybrid work policy with an average of 3 days per week in the office; location discussed during recruitment Children are our role models.
