Description Job Description The Engineering Specialist works with engineering departments to develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices consistently throughout the company. This position will assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects, as necessary. Responsibilities Support and be the main point of contact for WMS related activities. Work closely with Operation and other stakeholders on daily operation issues, troubleshooting and prevention. Continuous Improvement: Assesses the impact of long- and short-range forecasts on operating plans. Maintains forecasts, operating plans, and tracking spreadsheets for future reference. Maintains data within operating plans to highlight conditions and areas for potential change. Develops action plans and obtains management corrective action commitments. Implementation/Migration: Participate in design workshop, gather and analyze data necessary to develop work measurement. Verifies the proper application of work measurement to ensure accuracy. Lead and conduct UAT, conduct user training when necessary. Follow through IT project life cycle and provide WMS support to operation as requires. Qualifications Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent fields. Displays understanding of operational barriers and failures, and identifies/improves designs, methods, processes, and flows through collaboration. Technical minded with ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation and storage, customized reports, and data integration, and writes complex queries and creates databases as needed. Ability to translate business and operational terms to technical solutions. Prior Industrial Engineering experience is preferred. Prior experience using advanced Access and Excel functionalities is preferred. Availability to work flexible shift hours, including weekends and travel is preferred.
