Climate Transformation Research Fellow

The Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) aims to develop, inspire and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

Climate change is a physical and environmental event with significant psychological impacts becoming more salient. Different research methodologies will be utilized including focus group discussions, longitudinal surveys, and intervention trials.

Findings from this project will support translational efforts to promote climate action and psychological health.

We seek an exceptional candidate with strong academic background in Clinical, Counseling, School or Educational Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or related disciplines.

  • Develop and execute a range of scholarly projects including literature reviews, manuscripts, conference presentations etc.
  • Conduct statistical analyses including SEM and longitudinal analyses.
  • Propose, organize and execute research agenda based on the project requirements.
  • Collaborate with overseas researchers and recruit their involvement at different phases of the project.
  • Implement large-scale surveys, intervention trials, qualitative studies, and manage project administrations and logistics.
  • Disseminate research findings through presentations and interactions with students, researchers, and higher education authorities.
  • Engage in training relevant to the project requirements.
  • Supervise research project team members.
  • PhD degree from a reputable university in the areas of Clinical, Counseling, School or Educational Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or related disciplines.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant research experience.
  • Advanced statistical skills in multivariate analyses for intervention and longitudinal dataset.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in supervision of students.
  • Scholarly pursuits and interest in research areas such as Psychological aspects of climate change, Theoretical conceptualizations of stress, coping, and resilience, Development and implementation of primary prevention programmes for promoting psychological well-being.
