Responsibilities
The Energy + business line in Asia-Pacific is responsible for the origination and execution of structured and project finance debt for clients and large projects in the Energy sector, including Power (Thermal, Renewable, Nuclear), Oil & Gas, and new energy transition technologies such as hydrogen and batteries storage. Clients include owners, developers, investors, and financial institutions in the Energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Contributing directly to the business across Asia, focusing on South and Southeast Asia clients and projects.
Leading the origination and execution of advisory & lending mandates to arrange tailor-made finance transactions.
Maintaining and building relationships with target clients.
Originating advisory and lead arranging roles in the Energy sector.
Overseeing the execution of advisory and arranging mandates in compliance with internal requirements.
Ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations and internal processes.
Determining and negotiating financing terms, managing due diligence, and preparing offers and agreements.
Coordinating with internal teams for loan distribution and portfolio management.
Monitoring client relationships and maintaining a thorough knowledge of developments in the Asia-Pacific energy sector.
Playing an active role in the training and development of business line staff.
Profile Required:
Experience & Knowledge:
Experience in originating & executing limited recourse senior debt advisory assignments.
Ability to originate complex transactions and innovative solutions.
Understanding of loan and bond markets and related instruments.
Established network of industry contacts.
Capacity to generate clear and compelling pitch material.
Ability to manage risks effectively.
Behavioral Competency Required:
Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
Commercial acumen and persistence in addressing clients’ needs.
Proactive approach to business development.
Experience working with diverse, international teams.
Ability to manage self and others in prioritizing tasks.
Operational Skills:
