Job Responsibilities
Design, implement, and evaluate cutting-edge deep learning algorithms and data curation for multimodal generative AI, focusing on culturally-adapted image and video synthesis.
Collaborate with research scientists, engineers, and product teams across Google DeepMind to foster a collaborative environment.
Identify and address technical challenges, stay updated on AI advancements, and develop innovations with real-world impact.
Work with Ethics and Governance teams to ensure ethical development and broad societal benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
2+ years of experience in deep learning research, especially in generative AI related to image and video synthesis, including diffusion and autoregressive models.
Strong engineering skills in Python and frameworks like Jax, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, with a track record of building research prototypes and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale training of multimodal generative models.
Attention to visual aesthetics and detail, with a passion for high-quality generative content.
Strong publication record in top AI conferences or journals.
Experience working in cross-functional, multi-time zone teams.
