Senior Safety & Security Officer - Night shift1 Nov 2024
UWCSEA Eastis looking to hire a Senior Safety & Security Officer - Night shift.
As a Senior Safety & Security Officer, you play a vital role in creating a pleasant experience for our community members. You will be deployed to a primary role and at times to support any specifically assigned secondary role which will be within the defined scopes of supporting the customer experience journey. The college operates in terms, and various breaks are excellent opportunities for cross-training as well as supporting other sections of facilities and operations. You should remain open to such deployment. You will report to the Campus Safety and Security Supervisor and will work 6 days a week in a fixed shift.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Main ResponsibilitiesGeneral screening of people, staff, vehicles, and properties.
Guarding and patrolling properties.
Access and egress control.
Incident response to more complex and large-scale safety and security incidents.
Manage security and safety systems (e.g., Central alarm system, Fire alarm system, Lift control system, car park system, card access system).
Regulating traffic.
Monitor CCTV/Central Alarm Monitoring/Fire Command Centre monitoring.
Maintain CCTV storage libraries.
Preservation of evidence.
Assist in law enforcement.
Report all unusual incidents and take quick and appropriate actions to ensure the security and safety of the campus and their visitors and staff.
Ensure proper documentation and records maintenance (service and attendance sheets, incident occurrence reports, staff training records, procurement-related records).
Monitor all unauthorized vandalism and removal of property, review and report accidents that happened.
Perform duties at lobby, patrol, escort duty, and static duty.
Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; and file reports on safety precautions.
Assist with any other duties, tasks, or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College.
Person SpecificationsPrimary/Secondary School/O Level, Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate/Ni TEC, any field.
Possess a valid Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) Security Licence.
Must have passed or be exempted from the required Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) module under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) framework and is minimally WSQ-certified Security Supervisor.
Attend 2 certificate modules (SSO Courses).
CERT trained.
5 years related security experience required.
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Organised and meticulous.
Pro-active and independent.
Considerate and professional in all communications and adaptable to change.
Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office applications.
