Senior Engineer, Structural Detail Design

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.
Working Location: We will be relocating to 5 Jalan Samulun in November 2025 (nearest MRT: Boon Lay)
Position Summary
Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role.
- Review external designer's pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
- Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
- Perform FE analysis using FEMAP is an advantage.
- Review project team members drawings or documents prior submission.
- Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design.
- Prepares sourcing technical specifications for fittings related to structure (special material/construction, rudder, etc.).
- Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
- Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Structure newbuilding engineering design.
- Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline Character and Skill
- Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ FEMAP
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Good teamworking spirit
