Vulnerability Analyst (Contract)Location: Singapore Contract Type: 12-months (Extendable & Convertible)Keywords: Vulnerability Management, Middleware, Compliance, Automation, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, IBM MQ, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Power BI Company / Role Overview This position offers an opportunity to join a high-performing regional IT operations team responsible for securing and maintaining critical middleware infrastructure across multiple APAC locations. The Vulnerability Analyst will play a central role in managing security compliance, vulnerability testing, and remediation across a range of middleware platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and resilience of enterprise systems. The role requires both strong technical depth and hands-on execution ability, working closely with global and regional IT teams to uphold security standards and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee middleware vulnerability and compliance management for regional infrastructure, ensuring timely remediation and minimal risk exposure. Design and perform tests and check cases to determine if infrastructure components, systems, and applications meet confidentiality, integrity, authentication, availability, authorisation, and non-repudiation standards. Translate security and compliance requirements into test plans; write and execute test scripts or codes in line with standards and procedures to determine vulnerability to attacks. Certify infrastructure components, systems, and applications that meet internal and regulatory security standards. Conduct vulnerability assessments, plan and implement security patches, and perform post-remediation validation across supported platforms. Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline patching, configuration, and reporting processes. Create and maintain management dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel, highlighting key KPIs such as remediation timelines and compliance levels. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to define realistic remediation plans and ensure adherence to governance and change control frameworks. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, monitoring, and compliance posture across all middleware environments. Job Requirements 10–15 years of hands‐on experience in middleware administration, covering platforms such as IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss EAP/EWS, Apache, Tomcat, and IBM MQ. Strong knowledge of vulnerability management principles, including CVE scoring, compliance assessment methodologies, and test execution to validate security posture. Proven experience designing and executing vulnerability tests, documenting findings, and certifying systems that comply with confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) standards. Experience in scripting and automation for large‐scale middleware patching or deployment (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell). Proficiency in developing analytics dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; advanced Excel and SQL skills preferred. Excellent problem‐solving, analytical, and communication abilities, with the capability to translate complex issues into actionable solutions. Familiarity with ITIL processes, Agile or DevOps practices, and willingness to perform occasional after‐hours or weekend support when required.
