Description Join to apply for the Production Technician (Technician 1)role at BD . Job Title Production Technician (Technician 1)– BD Operational Tasks Perform visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and functional testing for manufacturing in-process or first piece/inhouse molding approval activities. Feedback materials / product discrepancy to upstream process /manufacturing. Handle the non-conforming product per non-conformance product handling procedure. Update inspection result per procedure. Participate in projects undertaken by the team, e.g., data collection on quality improvement projects. File inspection forms and other quality records required in the lot traceability procedure to their respective lot master and support for retrieval. Oversee the sort / re-work activities, collate and file the data accordingly. Internal coordination with other function groups. Supporting Tasks Contribute to departmental activities needed to achieve goals, e.g., Kaizen submission, Environmental Safety Opportunity. Participate in the discussion and review of the team's performance in Tier 1 meetings. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities. Perform evaluation testing as detailed in an approved protocol. Perform any other tasks as assigned. General Accountability Report on all quality incidents, near misses, and non-conformance from SOP, Specifications, and when required, take part in further investigations. Report on all incidents / accidents, near misses, deviations from plan and when required, take part in further investigations. Observe BD Code of Ethics. Apply SOP and/or SWI in daily operations. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability – observe GMP rules and procedures. Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability – ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing company's rules and procedures; actively participate in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards, and promotion of recycling, replacement, and reduction of resource materials. Safety & health accountability – observe all safety programs and training assigned; attend such programs in a timely manner to ensure work tasks are in accordance with safety guidelines and SOPs. Education and Experience Minimum 'O' Levels or equivalent. Preferably possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Knowledge and Skills Competency assessment in accordance with assigned work tasks. Understanding of simple statistical techniques. Skillful use of basic measuring instruments.
