Electrical Systems Design Lead

We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Systems Design Lead to drive the development and implementation of advanced electrical systems with a focus on power generation, distribution, and control.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electrical engineering principles, robotics power systems, and energy management, and will play a key role in shaping our strategic direction in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and performance management to a team of electrical engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems, ensuring seamless integration of electrical components with mechanical and software systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the selection of components, wiring, and connectors for electrical and power systems, considering factors such as performance, cost, and sustainability.
  • Oversee the analysis and testing of complex power systems and electrical components, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Take ownership of the full power system and electrical design process from concept to production, providing technical support during manufacturing and testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in robotics power systems and electrical engineering.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Expertise in electrical design tools (e.g., , SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Strong understanding of robotics power electronics, circuit theory, and energy management.
  • Experience in robotics, automotive, or commercial products.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and emerging trends in robotics power systems.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Candidates must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to navigate complex technical challenges in power engineering. A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are essential for this role.
