Description What the role is: Officer is primarily responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to source, engage, and attract talents from educational institutions and SCDF NSFs to join SCDF's direct, scholarship and sponsorship schemes, thereby ensuring a robust pipeline of young professionals aligned with the organisation's long-term leadership needs. This role encompasses building & maintaining relationships with key academic institutions, organising various recruitment events, enhancing the employer brand among the student population, and overseeing SCDF’s internship programmes for green harvesting. What you will be working on: To source and manage the life cycle of scholarship/sponsorship leads/applicants until their confirmation. To conduct and manage the full life cycle for SCDF Scholarship & Sponsorship publicity and marketing strategy that are aligned with overall organisation recruitment needs/goals, with vendors and creatives. To update and monitor recruitment statistics for proper analysis and planning of recruitment activities. To address any issues arising from scholarship/sponsorship leads/applicants. What we are looking for: A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as communication, marketing, or media. Candidates with minimum of 2 proven years of experience in a marketing or multimedia-related role will be preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be mobile, network, articulate and market SCDF’s career information and initiatives to various audiences. Proficiency in data analysis through the use of Microsoft Office and other software. Ability to handle multiple projects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. About MHA - Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is a uniformed organisation under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The main role of SCDF is to provide fire-fighting, rescue and emergency ambulance services; mitigating hazardous materials incidents, as well as formulate, implement and enforce regulations on fire safety and civil defence shelter matters. In 1982, the National Civil Defence Plan was launched which spearheaded the emergency preparedness for the nation. With the enactment of the Civil Defence Act in 1986, the SCDF was established as an independent organisation under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The SCDF also actively engages the local community through its wide-ranging public educational programmes and community-based activities to enhance the resilience and emergency preparedness of the civilian population. Today, the Force is recognised by the population as a professional body of well-trained officers and men geared to respond to all types of life-threatening emergencies round-the-clock.
