Their primary responsibility is to oversee the development and implementation of hygiene policies and procedures that ensure compliance with local and national regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain effective hygiene policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular hygiene audits to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans to address any issues, ensuring ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Training and Education: Train and educate staff on hygiene best practices, including proper handwashing techniques, cleaning methods, and waste disposal procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all hygiene equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated to guarantee their effectiveness.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and report any incidents of foodborne illness or other hygiene-related incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in public health, environmental health, hotel management & catering science, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in managing hygiene programs.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and national hygiene regulations and laws.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team of hygiene technicians.
  • Ability: Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in using hygiene equipment and technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve hygiene-related issues and incidents.
