Job Summary
The Veterinary Support Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality support services to veterinarians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians in clinical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Obtain relevant information and history from clients to maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Assist with surgery and other medical procedures as required.
- Educate clients on preventive care, pet health needs, and other related matters.
- Utilize technical skills to the fullest, adhering to mandated regulations and guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or certification in veterinary technology or nursing.
- Minimal 5 years of work experience in anesthesia, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, ECC, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, or surgery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
