Position Overview
You will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining smooth warehouse operations, optimising processes, and ensuring effective team management. The position will work closely with multiple teams, including customer service, sales and marketing to ensure that customers receive exceptional service at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management & Organisation
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and free of clutter.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to guarantee a safe working environment for the team.
- Achieve and maintain 99% inventory accuracy by overseeing regular stock counts, audits, and cycle counts.
- Monitor real-time stock levels in the WMS, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to manage timely and efficient unloading of shipments, ensuring deliveries align with warehouse capacity.
- Proactively prevent demurrage fees by adhering to unloading schedules and optimising truck schedules for minimal delays.
- Supervise daily outbound shipments, ensuring accurate order picking and on-time dispatch, especially during peak sales periods.
- Ensure proper palletising, wrapping, and stacking of products, optimising warehouse space for efficient storage and safe handling.
- Continuously evaluate warehouse operations to suggest and implement process improvements.
- Propose and develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Set clear, measurable KPIs (e.g., On-Time Delivery, picking accuracy, and inbound lead time) and regularly evaluate team performance to meet or exceed goals.
- Foster a positive, high-performing team culture through consistent feedback, recognition, and training opportunities to maintain morale and minimise absenteeism.
- Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders (3PL, suppliers) to ensure smooth operations and avoid delays in inbound and outbound logistics.
- Prioritise customer satisfaction by making decisions that optimise inventory management and order fulfilment accuracy.
- Ensure effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS) for accurate tracking and integration with the broader supply chain.
- Leverage system data to streamline processes and provide real-time updates on stock levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving warehouse issues, identifying problems early, and taking swift corrective actions to minimise operational disruptions.
- Regularly conduct safety inspections, implement training programs, and enforce safety protocols to eliminate hazards and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
- Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs through strategic optimisations in space usage, labour efficiency, and energy consumption.
- Propose cost-saving measures and implement at least one initiative annually to improve warehouse performance and resource allocation.
- Anticipate potential issues, using data insights to address problems before they disrupt warehouse activities.
- Independently drive key projects and initiatives, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and timely completion of objectives.

- At least 3 years of experience handling warehouse matters
- Possessing a WSQ Forklift Class 2 certificate would be an advantage
- Experience in supervising a team
- Experience in WMS system
- Works effectively with cross-functional teams
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Working Schedule:Monday to Friday (9 am to 6 pm)
