Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated student with a strong background in machine learning and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team as a Machine Learning Intern. The successful candidate will help refine our text-to-price extraction algorithm, enhancing both accuracy and latency to support our traders with real-time market insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Algorithm Enhancement: Collaborate with our development team to improve the existing text-to-price extraction logic using machine learning techniques.
  • LLM Integration: Utilize current prevalent Large Language Models to interpret and extract price information from unstructured text messages.
  • Azure AI Services: Work with Azure AI Service to implement and fine-tune models, optimizing them for higher accuracy.
  • Latency Optimization: Develop solutions to reduce processing time, ensuring that price information is extracted and delivered to traders as quickly as possible.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse limitations of the current rule-based system and propose innovative machine learning approaches.
  • Documentation: Document the development process, methodologies, and findings for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Machine Learning Expertise: Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Experience with LLMs: Familiarity with Large Language Models and natural language processing techniques.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python; experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
  • Azure Proficiency: Experience or coursework related to Azure AI Services or other cloud-based AI platforms.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex problems.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in Finance (Optional): A keen interest in financial markets and trading systems is advantageous but not required.
