Overview
Field Service Engineer role at Merck Electronics. This position involves startup activities, troubleshooting, customer coordination, and field service for Unity-SC’s measurement and testing technology.
Responsibilities
Part of Unity-SC’s measurement and testing technology business.
Manage startup activities from move-in through system applications qualification and complete qualifications as needed.
Troubleshoot and provide corrective maintenance to Unity toolset.
Coordinate with customers, Unity team, and headquarters to follow up on feedback and system issues with high-level communication.
Initiate and participate in projects related to customer CIP or internal projects.
Follow and propose action plans for corrective actions and improvements.
Follow checklists and procedures; perform system retrofit when needed.
Report non-conformances from customer sites.
Ensure customer satisfaction and relationships through proactive communication and actions.
Ability to conduct daily activities in an intense production environment.
Follow all safety rules and internal processes.
Provide training to customers as part of the job.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, or Microelectronics preferred).
Strong technical foundation in semiconductor or related fields.
Customer-facing experience, handling technical support and communication with international teams.
Good communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset with knowledge-sharing capabilities.
