Description Risk & Compliance Manager, Mandai Nature Mandai Nature is a successful Singapore-based non‑profit conservation organisation jointly set up by Temasek and Mandai Wildlife Group (which manages zoological parks including Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Rainforest Wild and Bird Paradise). The conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group was established to advance efforts on biodiversity protection in Singapore and Asia. Role Overview The Risk & Compliance Manager will actively drive the implementation of the company’s Risk Management Framework to support business and strategic goals, including adherence to essential legislative and regulatory standards. The role requires an experienced risk and compliance professional who balances risk management with practical limitations in the areas and countries where Mandai Nature operates. The incumbent will work in a small, dynamic team and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while safeguarding compliance. Key Responsibilities Support the Deputy Vice President, Finance & Governance to continuously develop, improve and maintain a robust risk management framework and establish a controlled environment to reduce risk. Focus will cover Enterprise Risk Management, Grant Risk Management, Donor Risk Management and Health and Safety risk management for programme teams. Be familiar with key business processes and track identified risks and issues related to these processes. Work closely with other team members to devise risk mitigation measures for identified risks. Ensure accurate monitoring and reporting of identified risks and relevant mitigation measures. Perform grant and donor due diligence assessments and assist in second‑line control activities such as performing risk reviews on assessments performed by other team members. Provide input and guidance to internal stakeholders to manage the organisation’s risk exposure in day‑to‑day operations. Document key risk policies and processes. Support the planning and execution of risk management training and workshops. Liaise with internal auditors. Compliance and Governance Support Deputy Vice President, Finance & Governance to ensure robust policies and processes fulfil all compliance requirements. Perform compliance obligations mapping to ensure Mandai Nature meets legal, charity, Anti‑Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing regulations and contractual obligations. Highlight deficiencies in compliance processes and provide recommendations to close gaps. Document key compliance policies and processes. Maintain the master contract list and develop an efficient, centrally organised process to track legal contract obligations. Other Ad Hoc Tasks Lead or support business process and system improvements as required. Undertake special projects or other ad hoc tasks that may arise. Job Requirements Degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management or a related discipline from a recognised university. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in risk management and compliance. Proven track record of formulating and implementing risk and compliance practices. Proficient in risk management, regulatory requirements and, ideally, compliance frameworks and third‑party risk management. Knowledge of charity regulations is a plus. Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills. Preferred experience undertaking internal audit. Experience working with diverse stakeholders. Experience in a non‑profit environment is an advantage. Strong attention to detail. Strong stakeholder engagement, written and verbal communication skills.
