A leading global beauty and fashion group is seeking a Travel Retail Education Manager to elevate the retail experience across South Asia's travel retail sector. Responsibilities
What you'll do:
As a Travel Retail Education Manager, you will be at the heart of empowering retail teams across South Asia by designing impactful learning experiences that drive both personal growth and commercial success. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with field supervisors to monitor team performance while delivering targeted coaching sessions that inspire excellence in every interaction. You will take ownership of implementing innovative e-learning strategies that keep pace with industry trends while ensuring all training content remains relevant to local market needs. By building strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners—including retailers—you will champion best practices in customer engagement. Your ability to adapt training materials for different audiences will be crucial as you roll out induction programmes for new hires and support ongoing development projects throughout the region. Through your efforts, you will help create a culture where every team member feels confident representing luxury brands at their very best.
Collaborate with field supervisors to track and monitor the performance of brand ambassadors, brand representatives, and promoters across multiple travel retail locations.
Maximise productivity through in-store coaching sessions designed to enhance service delivery standards, grooming practices, and achievement of sales targets.
Follow up consistently on coaching outcomes to ensure ongoing improvement in customer engagement and sales performance.
Participate actively in recruitment processes for new brand ambassadors and representatives within the region.
Implement e-learning solutions for all learners by tracking progress and ensuring effective adoption of digital training tools.
Work closely with the Retail & Education Director to formulate comprehensive training plans tailored to key South Asian markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, as well as providing ad hoc support for Oceania.
Build and manage a vibrant community of brand experts who foster interest in luxury brands among internal stakeholders and retail partners.
Serve as a brand ambassador by supporting perfume workshops and VIP events in partnership with retailers to strengthen brand presence.
Adapt training materials—including manuals and digital tools—to align with evolving business goals and regional opportunities identified through market analysis.
Organise and deliver induction programmes for new joiners covering brand DNA, product knowledge, customer service excellence, and effective selling techniques.

What you bring:
To excel as the Travel Retail Education Manager role, your background should reflect substantial experience within luxury retail or travel retail environments where you have taken responsibility for end-to-end training delivery. Your proven track record includes facilitating workshops in both English and Mandarin—enabling you to engage effectively with multicultural teams across South Asia. You bring advanced technical skills using Microsoft Office tools which support your ability to design compelling presentations and maintain robust tracking systems. Your deep appreciation for luxury beauty or fragrance brands informs your approach when adapting content or coaching others on product knowledge. Interpersonal sensitivity allows you to nurture positive relationships within cross-functional teams while also liaising confidently with external stakeholders such as retailers or event organisers. Organisational prowess ensures seamless execution of complex training schedules involving multiple formats—from classroom instruction through virtual learning platforms—while your adaptability means you remain calm under pressure when responding to last-minute changes or urgent requests. Above all else, your enthusiasm for sharing knowledge helps foster an inclusive environment where every participant feels empowered.
Minimum five years' experience managing training responsibilities within travel retail or luxury beauty/fragrance environments is essential for success in this role.
Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin is required for facilitating workshops across diverse markets.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—particularly PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data tracking—is necessary.
A genuine passion for luxury beauty or fragrance products combined with an understanding of what makes these categories unique within retail settings is highly valued.
