Job Purpose
Our client is seeking an experienced Professional Officer (EHS) to join their team. You will play a vital role in integrating industry best practices into applied learning by delivering practical modules, mentoring students, and supporting applied research. In addition, you will manage laboratory facilities and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver laboratory and practice-based modules
  • Mentor students in projects and integrated work-study programmes
  • Lead or support innovation and applied research projects with industry
  • Manage laboratories, equipment, and technical resources
  • Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or related field; Master's/PhD and professional certifications advantageous
  • 10+ years of industry experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) with hands-on competence
  • Strong expertise in safety management systems, risk assessment, SOPs, hazard identification, and safety training
  • Technical knowledge in one or more domains: chemical, biological, electrical, mechanical, or civil safety
  • Familiarity with unit operations and standards such as ISO9001, OSHA, and BSI
  • Strong mentoring and supervisory skills, with interest in guiding students and supporting applied research projects
