Responsibilities
About the team: Seed Global Data focuses on producing international data for LLMs. Data is crucial for model quality, and the team collaborates with technical, product, and operations teams to ensure effective data strategies and execution. As a key member of our LLM Global Data Team, the LLM Training Operations Analyst will manage processes involved in training large language models with diverse coding datasets, overseeing and improving workflows for high-quality, efficient project delivery.
Your Role Will Involve
Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple math-focused LLM training projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and objectives are met. Track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. Maintain relationships with product managers, researchers, data annotators, and cross-functional teams. Communicate updates, address concerns, and coordinate with global teams and external vendors.
Workflow Design and Management:
Design, manage, and optimize workflows for math-focused LLM training projects, including training design, QA, and performance tracking. Collaborate with product managers and teams to align on quality metrics.
Operational Improvement:
Conduct quality and productivity experiments to enhance training data processes. Lead annotation operation improvements and develop technical guidelines for consistent data quality.
Data Checking and Analysis:
Implement data analysis strategies to evaluate training datasets for the math domain. Ensure data accuracy and validity through protocols, trend analysis, and insights for model improvement. Collaborate with teams to define quality benchmarks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Mentor team members, foster a collaborative environment, and promote knowledge sharing to improve overall performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Strong communication skills in Chinese Mandarin for engaging with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Project management skills for managing workflows.
Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and interpret data.
Independent judgment and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Enthusiasm for LLMs and computational thinking, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
Advanced English proficiency for writing and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in competitive mathematics (e.g., Olympiads).
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
Experience in RLHF annotation and AI/LLM projects.
Interest in LLM technology, human behavior, and user experience.
Self-motivated with mentoring skills and high analytical standards.
