Overview
Our client is looking for a
Senior/Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre)
to join their team. The OT Nurse will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care, assist during surgical procedures, and ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality operating theatre environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and other medical staff during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
Monitor patients vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Document surgical procedures, patient information, and intraoperative care accurately and timely.
Manage surgical supplies inventory and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
Participate in the preoperative assessment and postoperative care of patients.
Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing care.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training sessions.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with relevant nursing board registration (e.g., Singapore Nursing Board).
Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
Minimum 2 years of experience in operating theatre or perioperative nursing preferred.
Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating theatre protocols.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
