Environmental Testing Equipment Specialist

Key responsibilities include the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of environmental testing equipment. Providing technical support, training, and calibration services are also essential functions of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and commission environmental testing equipment at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work on Weiss Technik equipment according to established guidelines and standards.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to clients for operational challenges with their environmental testing equipment.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for clients to ensure correct operation and maintenance of Weiss Technik products.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring timely submission of service reports.
  • Manage tools, test equipment, parts, and assets to ensure efficient use and organization.
  • Assist with testing equipment functionality and performance to meet required specifications and validate system installations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure availability of critical components for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to established safety standards during installation, maintenance, and repair work.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field) with HVAC certification is a plus.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or repair, preferably in the environmental simulation or testing industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, refrigeration technology, and mechanical processes.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and control systems is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks.
