As the Senior M&E Manager for the Global Facilities South Asia Regional department , you will lead a multi‐discipline engineering team and provide engineering system ownership and technical support for Micron semiconductor manufacturing sites in South Asia. The role emphasizes flawless Engineering & Design, Construction, start‐up, Operations and Maintenance with a focus on standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability. Responsibilities Lead and manage a multi‐discipline engineering team with expertise in mechanical and electrical systems for engineering, design, construction, operation, and maintenance across the Micron site network. Technically lead the multi‐discipline team toward strategic and operational excellence. Support building a skilled engineering team for chemical, gas, water and wastewater, and other areas, including recruitment, training, staffing, and retention. Coach, mentor, and develop team members’ career paths; drive team engagement and inspire performance toward ambitious goals. Provide leadership on Global Facilities initiatives and ensure clarity and alignment for the engineering team. Assist the Director in building a coordinated strategic plan, including driving innovation and breakthrough initiatives. Support the network in implementing, monitoring, and driving continuous improvement for Micron’s strategic programs and initiatives. Identify, manage, and monitor key performance indicators for the department; set facility engineering goals aligned with global priorities. Provide technical advice to overcome challenges in project planning and execution. Lead multi‐discipline engineering for large‐scale greenfield FAB design and construction projects in South Asia Oversee discipline activities for planning, execution, and completion of South Asia Greenfield FAB design and construction projects, delivering on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Collaborate with Global and Regional Facilities teams, Site Facilities, Construction, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, IT, Layout and Planning, and other internal/external partners. Establish best‐in‐class engineering and construction practices focusing on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. Drive engineering and construction cost management and ensure financial accountability in all activities. Ensure project scope, schedule, and cost meet customer and project needs; maintain effective communication with Facilities, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Manufacturing partners. Review design packages and provide documented comments; ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations. Monitor progress and provide engineering and design support during construction; support cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval. Provide supervision and coordination of consultant resources. Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and global network sites on multi‐discipline topics Initiate and sustain effective communication with team members, partners, and collaborators (top‐down). Share updates with the Director, Engineering Leadership Teams, and Engineering Teams (bottom‐up). Advance issues with options and recommendations; communicate department goals, project plans, programs, and targets. Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions. Provide technical support, leadership, and expertise Lead the multi‐discipline engineering team as the technical field domain expert for Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams. Collaborate with internal partners including Technology Development, Procurement, Finance, Legal, etc. Analyze system designs to identify improvements for performance, efficiency, maintenance and cost savings. Support sites with technical problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies. Benchmark best practices and maintain domain knowledge on industry standards, trends, and sustainability initiatives. Maintain knowledge of design innovations, digitalization, and related advances. Provide design and construction project support, leadership, and expertise Support Design and Construction project teams in engineering and design development for Greenfield FAB projects. Review and provide feedback on Micron Global Design and Construction Standards and Specifications, focusing on engineering design and system deployment. Review capacity planning databases and operating trends; participate in capacity and scenario planning across the network. Review scope, schedule, and cost estimates for facilities infrastructure additions or modifications. Provide global initiatives program support, leadership, and expertise Support and provide feedback on Micron Global Best Known Methods with focus on operations and maintenance reliability and performance. Support Global Facilities Programs and Initiatives, including implementation and execution. Support Global Facilities Sustainability Programs aligned with Micron’s corporate goals. Incorporate lessons learned from Global, Regional, and Site teams into Micron Global Standards and BKMs. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required. Minimum 15–20 years of experience in semiconductor and/or facilities related industry. Technical expertise in facilities and semiconductor mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to build and lead teams, develop people, and align the team with strategic objectives. Ability to prioritize, schedule, and manage multiple tasks concurrently. Good organizational and interpersonal skills; team player with a service demeanor. Self‐motivated worker with familiarity of semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Ability to travel 50–60% of the time or more to Micron network sites and FAB construction project locations, including during critical project phases.
