About Us

EQUAL is an Institute of Public Character charity focused on enhancing social and mental health amongst children, youths, persons with special needs, and the elderly through transformative animal-assisted services. These evidence-based services have a strong culture of care and service to people, animals, and communities.

We partner rescued and retired horses to empower those we serve by developing their socio-emotional well-being, self-awareness, and relationship management skills through animal-assisted programs.

Job Role

You will join our team as a Programmes Instructor in both outdoor and indoor settings. Your key roles include programme development, implementation, and administrative duties.

  • Develop and conduct animals-assisted learning programmes serving different groups of beneficiaries.
  • Apply assessment frameworks and innovative approaches in programme design.
  • Coordinate with schools, partners, and stakeholders for logistical matters.
  • Perform programme administrative duties including beneficiaries' progress reports and data collection.
  • Coordinate with Volunteer Manager to tap on volunteers for programme support.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may require you to work on weekends and public holidays if there are programmes or events. You will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with the Programmes & Services team members.

Requirements

  • Preferred experience: 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior experience with horses is beneficial but not necessary.
  • Abilities to speak mother tongues and dialects will be an advantage.

Fresh graduates are welcomed. We value candidates with educational and professional backgrounds in social work, counselling, and psychology. Familiarity with evidence-based frameworks and facilitation skills in group work are also essential.
