It has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities.The Centre for Urban Solutions at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is seeking an outstanding Research Associate with a background in geophysical investigation, geotechnical engineering, and data analytics.**Key Responsibilities:*** The Research Associate should be familiar with geophysical/geotechnical investigation, data analytics, and machine learning.* The Research Associate will be mainly responsible to process geophysical/geotechnical data and analyze the data using machine learning algorithms.* The position involves in conducting research, supervising undergraduate students, and writing project reports and scientific articles.**Job Requirements:*** A Bachelor Degree in geotechnical engineering or equivalent* Able to work independently and collaborate with team members;* Good verbal and written communication in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders* Working or research experience in geotechnical engineering and/or underground engineering of at least 1 years is desirable.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world's top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world's top young university for the past seven years.
