About the role:
GSR is seeking a Research Analyst to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Advertised in London, this role can be based in any of our offices globally.
Our Research team conducts deep, fundamental research to demonstrate thought leadership externally as well as support clients and internal business initiatives. In doing so, the Research Team contributes to GSR brand equity and awareness, elevates the level of client support, and helps business development, trading, risk, and investments accomplish their goals.
The GSR Research Analyst leverages their strong understanding of cryptocurrency to generate deep insights to author industry-leading research reports, offer value-add advice to top crypto projects, support firm trading and risk decisions from a fundamental viewpoint, and work with senior management for more informed firm strategy and key business decisions.
Responsibilities
Produce external reports ranging from daily market updates to weekly news summaries, monthly crypto commentaries, and in-depth reports on key topics.
Support key clients with advice and advisory regarding go to market strategies, competitive environment analyses, tokenomics, etc.
Support trading and risk to monitor positions from a fundamental perspective
Enhance GSR’s brand equity through conference presentations, podcast appearances, media commentary, twitter presence, etc.
Build deep cross-functional knowledge of internal operating environment and external market dynamics to inform leadership team on a range of strategic and operational issues
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, business, or engineering
Research or strategy experience at a digital assets, finance or technology company
Strong knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and technical underpinnings is strongly preferred
Basic understanding of financial trading terms, including structured and derivatives products
Strong work ethic, with innate curiosity and desire to go above and beyond
Proven organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
