Job Description
The Manager, Client Solutions - Asia, Savings & Retirement will support and expand client and broker relationships across Asia, seek innovative solutions to complex problems in longevity and asset-intensive reinsurance, and play a crucial role in designing and executing strategic objectives for the region and the wider team.
The role aims to expand Pacific Life Re’s footprint and deliver growth in Asia, supporting the AVP, Client Solutions, in implementing strategies and business plans for client relationships and solutions in the market.
Responsibilities
Client Management
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, brokers, and banks, demonstrating visibility and partnership.
Prepare for and follow up on meetings, ensuring collaboration and consistency across markets.
Maintain cultural alignment, act as a partner, and meet client needs creatively and pragmatically.
Ensure regular communication with key contacts through catch-ups and multidisciplinary meetings.
Quote Delivery & Structuring
Own the quote process from receipt to delivery, managing stakeholder expectations and governance.
Support opportunity triaging, quote strategy, and commercial terms negotiation.
Promote a solution-oriented approach, coordinating with experts to address complex challenges.
Participate in pricing sign-off, providing market context and constructive feedback, and support contractual negotiations.
Strategy
Execute strategies for asset-intensive and longevity reinsurance in Asia.
Develop and maintain client networking strategies across all levels.
Support wider business efforts aligned with Pacific Life’s strategic objectives for .
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in life (re)insurance, consultancy, or brokerage; qualified actuary or investment banking background preferred.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and cross-cultural engagement skills, especially in Asia.
Project management skills for coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering results.
Proficiency in an Asian language (Korean or Japanese highly valued).
Basic understanding of reinsurance structures, pricing, and capital frameworks; willingness to deepen expertise.
Analytical skills for interpreting financial data and contributing to proposals and market analysis.
Proactive, commercially minded, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of risk management, internal controls, or governance frameworks is a plus.
