Requirements for this role: - Looking for candidates available to work:- Mon morning - Mon afternoon - Tue morning - Tue afternoon - Wed morning - Wed afternoon - Thu morning - Thu afternoon - Fri morning - Fri afternoon - Sat morning - Sat afternoon - Sun morning - Sun afternoon - 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role - This role is an urgent hire Warehouse assistant reports directly to the warehouse supervisor whose job it is to control the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records. • Well established food company • Multicultural work environment • 5.5-day work week • Be able to drive a forklift • Take orders from warehouse supervisor on a daily basis and review them thoroughly • Load and unload goods from delivery vans and trucks • Ensure correct quantity has been received by comparing received goods with information on the work order • Identify any damaged or missing goods and record the necessary information • Ensure delivery forms are signed only upon satisfaction of completed order • Move received goods to appropriate storage areas using stackers, pallet jacks, or forklift • Make sure all goods are labelled properly using appropriate stickers or date coders • Allocate storage space for items based on their types and sizes • Pick out ordered goods and ensure they are in good condition • Isolate and report any broken or damaged goods at the time of order picking • Ensure information of transferred goods is recorded in logs • Move picked goods from storage areas to delivery pallets using stacker, pallet jack, or forklift • Prepare a series of documents such as dispatch notes and labels • Ensure warehouse workers comply to the company’s safety and security procedures • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with vendors to ensure smooth procurement • Ensure quality control of goods coming in and going out of the warehouse • Maintain stable temperature conditions within the warehouse especially where perishable food items are concerned • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across all work areas #J-18808-Ljbffr Industry Other Category Management & Operations Sub Category Supply Chain, Logistics & Transportation
