This hybrid role focuses on managing claims subrogation opportunities (60%) and supporting the facultative reinsurance process (40%) across all lines of business. You will work closely with the Asia claims team, Ceded Re, Credit Control teams, and externally with lawyers, recovery agents, reinsurers, brokers, etc., ensuring top-tier service to clients. The role reports to the Claims Operations Lead, Singapore.
This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime.
Responsibilities
Identify claims subrogation opportunities in collaboration with claims account managers.
Investigate and gather evidence for subrogation claims.
Manage lawyers and recovery agents.
Negotiate with third parties, including insurers and legal representatives.
Monitor and follow up on subrogation progress.
Maintain records and report on activities and outcomes.
Collaborate with the Asia Claims Team.
Share best practices within AXA XL and AXA GI.
Track recovery funds for profitability analysis.
Support Ceded Re with claims updates and documentation for reinsurers/brokers.
Retrieve and provide supporting documents for claims.
Review data from Credit Control and external reinsurers/brokers.
Maintain task schedules to ensure timely and efficient claims handling.
Ensure compliance with Global Claims Handling Guidelines.
Participate in projects to improve team efficiency and profitability.
Engage with brokers/clients to improve claims service, including initiatives like Brokers Academy and Claims Academy.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant insurance qualifications preferred.
Claims subrogation experience is desirable.
Knowledge of key product lines and regulatory environment.
Technical understanding of the role.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Customer service experience.
Effective relationship-building skills.
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Attention to detail and data accuracy.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ownership and teamwork mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
