EAL Teacher

Description Position: EAL Teacher (Jan 2026)Reporting To: PrincipalDirect Reports: No direct reportJob Description Participate in interviews and initial assessment of prospective students with learning needs, particularly in regards to English as Additional Language, as requiredInitiate appropriate assessment and testing of children referred by Class Teachers via the Senior Principal and/or the PrincipalWork closely with the Senior Principal and the Principal to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and develop the EAL programme in MiddletonLiaise with Class Teachers in assessing and monitoring children’s progress.Work closely with teachers, Vice-Principal, Principal and any specialists to develop an individual education plan if requiredCollaborate with staff in long term planning.Take corporate responsibility for displays throughout the school.Share management and delivery of assemblies.Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school’s performance and ethos.Share your expertise.Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional and career development.Who are we looking for Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institutionMinimum of 5 years teaching experienceCommitment to working in an educational environment that offers academic rigour and excellence in teachingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSensitivity toward cultural diversitiesAbility to build community through positive interactions with parentsSelf motivated with a high energy levelAll applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
