tatothoughts is a fast-growing food startup founded by SMU undergraduates, bringing Singapore a new take on the UK's jacket potatoes-customisable, hearty, and packed with Asian-inspired flavours. We operate a grab-and-go retail model, focusing on convenience, quality, and sustainability for students and young professionals. As we open our first physical outlet, we're looking for energetic kitchen crew to join our team. As a Kitchen Crew, you will play a key role in preparing and assembling our signature dishes, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficient service. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position ideal for those who enjoy working with food and being part of a close-knit team. Key responsibilities: - Prepare and cook ingredients according to tatothoughts' SOPs and food safety standards - Assemble orders accurately following SOPs - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift - Follow opening and closing checklists - Record inventory usage, notify supervisors when stock is low, place orders for inventory - Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety regulations, including proper use of gloves, masks, and regular handwashing - Carry out similar duties at pop-up events, as well as basic customer interaction Job requirements: - No prior experience required; training provided on the job (prior F&B or kitchen experience is a plus) - Valid WSQ Level 1 (or above) Food Safety Course Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) - Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak period rushes - Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn - Good communication skills; able to follow instructions accurately - Physically fit (able to stand for extended periods and perform basic lifting) - Flexible to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends What we offer: - Competitive monthly salary, performance bonuses - Staff meals - Staff discounts - Opportunities for career growth in a startup environment - Supportive, youthful team culture - Training in food safety, kitchen operations, customer service and more Expected start date: 1 November 2025 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Employee discount Food provided Education: Lower Secondary Qualification (Preferred) License/Certification: WSQ Food Safety Level 1 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
