The Opportunity

  • Focus: Conduct microbiological testing and support lab operations for drug substance release in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Office location: Tuas
  • Working hours: 12h rotating shifts (work 3 days, off 2 days)

The Talent

  • Min Degree or equivalent qualification in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related scientific field
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a GMP pharmaceutical QC microbiology lab
  • Skilled in microbiological testing techniques for API, drug substances/products, and stability samples
  • Solid understanding of GxP compliance, lab safety, and data integrity standards
  • Familiar with aseptic technique and sample management processes
  • Experience supporting inspections and audits is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment

Main Functions

As QC Analyst Microbiology II, you will play a key role in routine and non-routine microbiological testing, supporting timely release of products and maintaining inspection readiness.

  • Perform microbiological testing (e.g., environmental monitoring, bioburden, endotoxin, sterility) for various sample types
  • Manage sample storage, documentation, and SAP data entry to support compliance
  • Assist in day-to-day QC operations including logbook checks, reagent preparation, and equipment usage
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of testing to meet release and stability timelines
  • Participate in inspections, internal audits, and prepare related documentation
  • Support IPC lab activities and contribute to test method optimization
  • Complete required training for new methods, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Identify and support process improvements for lab efficiency and compliance
  • Adhere strictly to GMP, SOPs, and HSE policies at all times
