Cloud Infrastructure Modernization Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a cloud infrastructure modernization engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for helping customers transform and build their business using Google Cloud technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
- Share enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
- Guide customers through assessments of legacy application environments and provide recommendations on prioritization roadmaps for infrastructure and application modernization.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a solution on Google Cloud.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Experience in engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience with supporting digital native industries.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and engagement testing.
- Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
- Experience in prospecting, and building and maintaining customer relationships.
