Position Overview To lead and manage the duties of the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for Army Camps as per SCDF regulation, including but not limited to the following: To prepare and execute the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for the premises and distribute the ERP to the occupants. To conduct daily checks and inspections within the premises and remove or facilitate the removal of any fire hazards, and prepare a monthly FSM inspection report. To supervise the maintenance of fire safety works and follow up on necessary repairs or replacements. To ensure at all times compliance with the fire safety requirements contained in the ERP. To conduct in-house fire drills for occupants at least once or twice per calendar year or as directed by the commissioner or SCDF. To conduct at least 2 table-top exercises within the premises each year and evaluate the ERP; record minutes of meetings and provide feedback for improvement. To furnish incident reports in the event of fire and other related emergencies, including fire drills and table-top exercises. To train, coordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for the premises in first aid, firefighting and evacuation. To train the occupants in first aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other emergencies. To advise and recommend a list of firefighting equipment for the Company Emergency Response Team. To supervise premises with a Fire Command Centre on operation in the event of fire and other emergencies. To prepare and implement an Arson Prevention Plan for the premises. To prepare a fire safety guidebook for the occupants of the premises. To carry out fire risk assessments of the premises and recommend areas for improvement. To endorse the annual Fire Certificate Renewal with PE Endorsement. To perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements Diploma in Facilities Management/Mechanical/Electrical/Building or equivalent, with FSM/Senior FSM Certification registered with SCDF. At least 3 years of experience as appointed FSM for large buildings or estates.
