Job Overview:
We are building a team of skilled, service-focused individuals who are enthusiastic about the F&B and service industry. We are seeking a Barista to support daily operations at our café. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, organised, and able to contribute positively to our team dynamic. We value individuals who are eager to contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment, helping us to enhance our services continuously.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to customers.
Engage with patrons to understand their preferences and recommend suitable coffee options.
Quality Assurance
Uphold high standards of quality in all aspects of coffee preparation, including coffee bean selection, grinding, tamping, and extraction.
Monitor product freshness and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Cleanliness and Organization
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café, including workstations, serving counters, and dining areas.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
Event Support
Be prepared to work shifts during events at CQ Swee Lee Café, ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service during these times.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with team members, including baristas, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Preparation and Service
Prepare and serve coffee, waffle, and other beverages according to prescribed recipes.
Equipment Maintenance
Assist in ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and operational.
Product Knowledge
Share knowledge about coffee, beverages, and food offerings with customers in an engaging and informative manner.
Inventory Assistance
Support inventory checks and notify the Café Lead of any shortages or replenishment needs.
Operational Support
Assist in implementing operational improvements and efficiency initiatives as directed by the Cafe Manager/Cafe Lead.
Requirements:
Good understanding of various types of coffee and tea.
Prepared to work during weekends and public holidays.
Able to accommodate shift work.
Able to communicate in English.
Customer oriented and service focused.
Have a passion for music.
Location is at Clarke Quay.
