Logistics Coordinator Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain management process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with shipping lines to ensure timely and efficient shipping operations.
  • Handle import/export bookings and submit shipping instructions to carriers.
  • Coordinate with local transporters to arrange prompt local shipments.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and resolve any logistics issues that may arise.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documents, invoices, and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, and warehouse) to meet delivery requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and shipping documentation.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse Management and Inventory Control:

We require a skilled professional to oversee warehouse operations, manage inventory levels, and ensure accurate tracking of shipments. This includes coordinating with suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining efficient storage procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
